Class 2 trip to Farm and Country Days 2023

at The Royal Cornwall Showground

Thurs 23 March

The Farm & Country Days are an educational event held annually at the Royal Cornwall Events Centre.
It’s specifically aimed at Cornish primary school children, from Year 3 and 4 (aged 7 to 9 years.)
750 children per day enjoy a hands-on, interactive learning journey to see how their food travels from farm to plate. Since the events inception in 2013 nearly 9000 pupils have taken part.
More than 50 exhibits illustrate each aspect of the local farming and food production industry. More than 400 volunteers from the industry give up their time and expertise freely to make the event happen.

In whole school assembly we reminded the children about the importance of sharing with parents what they’re doing online and who they can talk to if they need help. Children have brought home leaflets reminding them to ‘Talk about it’ and get help, from a parent, teacher or trusted adult, if they’re worried.
